Vattavada is 45 km from Munnar and 140 km from Kochi. The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport (COK) , 130 km away. From Kochi or Munnar, hire a taxi or take a KSRTC bus to Munnar, then a local jeep to Vattavada—the last 18 km from Kundala Dam is a narrow, scenic ghat road. No railway station nearby; Aluva or Ernakulam are the closest. A sturdy vehicle is recommended, especially in monsoon. Private cars are allowed, but jeeps handle the terrain better.
