Salal Waterfall

Salal Waterfall is a man made waterfall in District Reasi of Jammu & Kashmir in India and is one of the popular Tourist attraction in union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.  It is located near Salal Hydroelectric Power Project on the river Chenab. It is about 23 kilometers away from District Headquarter of Reasi and is surrounded by Mountains and always offers a beautiful and spectacular view of the Chenab river. 

The Tourists visit here in large numbers to enjoy the spectacular view of the river Chenab and water fall like spot which is surrounded by full of green Mountains. The main source of attraction for visitors is Salal Power Project which was conceived in 1920 whose feasibility studies began in 1961. It is an interesting to know that this project was started in 1970 which has the capacity of 690 MW of electricity. This project supplies electricity to Utter Pradesh, Harayana, Delhi and Rajasthan and this top unique water fall remains main focus of tourists attraction.

2. Aharbal Waterfall :

Aharbal Waterfall is one of top unique tourist place with a beautiful nature, good atmosphere with fresh air, amazing waterfall and spectacular climatic conditions.  It is easily approachable from Srinagar City located at distance of 70 kilometers from Srinagar City. It takes two hours to reach here and waterfall is on the Veshu River one of the tributary of Jehlum river. This waterfall is also famous for its breathtaking landscapes and this water fall is fed by the River Veshaw.

3.Drung waterfall

This extremely splendid waterfall is situated near Tangmarg and is particular top unique waterfalls as it freezes during winter season, this creates a stunning frozen spectacular view. Many of the waterfalls in Jammu and Kashmir are fed by melting glaciers that result in crystal clear water with vibrant blue hue in summer pleasures. This spectacular waterfall is one of the biggest water fall in North India and is situated at an altitude of 466 meters from the sea level.

7. Noori Chamb Waterfall

Noori Chamb Waterfall is one of the top unique waterfalls in Jammu and Kashmir which is situated in the Headwaters of the Poonch river in District Poonch of Jammu Division in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. This extremely amazing waterfall is located in the village Bahramgala below Pir Panjal Pass in Poonch District and is about 10 kilometers away from Baffliaz.

Noori Chamb Waterfall is about 45 kilometres away from main Town of Poonch District & is 16 kilometers away from Surankot town. This top unique water fall is quite spectacular and famous for its cold milky water, scenic beauty & dense clouds of water vapours.

It is a major tourist attraction and some of the peaks around this waterfall remain covered with snow through out the year. This waterfall has become a major tourist attraction for domestic and global tourists who visit this waterfall to respite themselves from the summer heat and enjoy natural beauty amidst mighty Himalayan Range.
