History of Sikkim :  

Sikkim, one of the smallest states of  India, is situated in its  North Easter part which touches its borders with Chinese Tibet in the North and Northeast, in the east it touches Bhutan and its western part touches Nepal and West Bengal in the South. The summer season in Nathula Pass is not generally very hot but the average temperature in April, May, and June ranges from -20 degrees Celsius at night and 17 degrees Celsius during the day. This is the best, most delightful & suitable time when tourists prefer to visit here during pleasant weather conditions. The mountain peaks are quite visible during these months while Nathula Pass witnesses heavy rainfall which is sometimes followed by landslides during the rest of the months mostly during monsoon season. Heavy Snowfall occurs here from November to December and temperature drops to -25 degrees Celsius but the route usually remains open and if visitors plan to visit here during these months, they must not forget to pick up snow boots and heavy winter wear.
