Daksum Valley is a delightful and extremely fascinating Hill Station for Trekkers and an amazing location for angling. This Hill station is situated on Anantnag-Sinthan Kishtwar Road. This tourist resort is about 85 Kilometers away from the summer capital Srinagar of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India whose trails lead to Sinthanpass and then to Sinthantop from this location. It is located on Anantnag Sinthantop Kishtwar Road NH- 1B. People visiting Sinthantop usually make small halts at Daksum and Dandipora. Daksum Tourist Resort is situated at an altitude of 8500 ft (2438 meters) from the sea level and is about 40 kilometers southeast of Anantnag.
It is also known as Trekkers Paradise because it is naturally covered with coniferous meadows with gurgling streams and hidden grassy meadows with the melodious sound of the gushing Bringi River forming a beautiful backdrop. It is also famous for Trout and is often called an angler's heaven.
