Kashmiri Pandits want New Employment Package in 2026.
Kashmiri Pandits who had to forcefully leave their ancestral homes and hearths in Kashmiri valley in 1990 due to Pakistan sponsored Terrorism and surcharged atmosphere in entire Kashmir Valley, took temporary shelter to save their lives, honour and dignity in Jammu, Udhampur and other parts of the country with this intention that this temporary phase of terrorism may end with in some months and they will return to their native places in kashmir. But unfortunately this could not happen and this disturbance continued and with the result, they had to loose about twenty thousand Governent Jobs and become jobless as well had to face a lot of problems in exile which is in its 37th year now.
It is worthwhile to mention here that with long struggle and concerted efforts put in by various organisations of Kashmiri Pandits in exile, six thousand employment package under the name and style " Prime Minister's Rehabilitation Employement package was accorded to more than five lakh kashmiri Pandits in 2008/09 and this employment package was implemented in 2010 with the conditions that the selected educated youth will work in Kashmir and it's Job will be non transferable.
Now despite passing more than more than fourteen years when the population of Displaced Kashmiri Migrants increased and unemployment among the educated Displaced youth is on big rise. They are feeling frustrated and depressed with out having any Goverment Job avenues available nor any new employment package has been granted so far on these fifteen years. The kashmiri Pandits living in foreceful exile are facing lot of problems on count of survival, employment , return and rehabilitation with dignity with honour.
It would be very much appreciable and welcomed if at least twenty thousand employment package is given at this time to Displaced educated youth in different departments both in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and central Government, in 2026 which is the need of the hour to tackle the menace of unemployment among the educated youth of the displaced community in exile so that their potential could be utilised for the service of the Nation & this will as well Page a way for improving their pathetic conditions in exile by eking out their livelihood with honour and dignity. Displaced community also aspires that onspot recruitment drive on the pattern of past be also executed in camps and non camps in different departments so that fast track employment generation avenues are availed to the educated displaced youth who are running from pillar to post in search of their livelihood but gets disappointment and desperation from every corner in forceful exile.
There are other genuine problems of this more than seven lakh Displaced community that is temporarily living mostly in camps and non camps in Jammu, udhampur, Kathua and other parts of the country which include employment avenues like providing one job per family , enhancement of meager monthly cash assistance from rupees 13000 to rupees 25000 for those poor families who are solely dependent on this meager cash assistance , additional accomodation by constructing more residential quarters in Jammu for those migrants who are still putting up on rents and pulling on their life with great hardships, retrieval and restoration of their illegally grabbed immovable properties in Kashmir by anti social elements which is very big challenge before them, left out compensation of gutted and damaged properties of Kashmiri Displaced migrants in Valley that is still pending, concrete time bound return and rehabilitation policy for 7 to 10 lakh Kashmiri Pandits back in Valley with honour and dignity, They displaced community also face severe problems here in exile on many other fronts like in camps, they face problems of pure drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, better education provisions , repair and renovation of old damaged alloted qauters in camps, less avaibility of medical facilities etc as they have lost everything because of forceful migration which include their houses, lands, Jobs,culture, civilization and ethos that must be revived and restored back to its pristine glory.
Conclude :
Despite passing more than fifteen years, no special employment package has been doled out so far for Displaced educated Youth who are feeling desperate and frustrated on this count. Displaced Kashmiri Migrants demand twenty thousand Jobs in different departments which is the paramount need of the hour to tackle the menace of unemployment among this hapless community who is spending a pathetic life in exile in camps and non camps in Jammu and other parts of the country far away from their ancestral places. This twenty thousand job package will not only provide them employment to improve their standard of life but will also avail them an opportunity to serve the motherland in a better way. Let's all hope Governent of India gives a humantarian review on this long pending demand of Kashmiri Pandits and would shortly nofitfy/adverise new ten thousand job package for which the community is eagerly waiting and aspiring for.
