Bhal Padri, now Open to tourists :
Bhal Padri is located at an altitude of about 11,000 feet above sea level & is known as "Mini Kashmir" for its lush green hills and stunning landscapes, it is just 10 km away from Padri, the highest point on the Bhaderwah-Chamba road, which connects Jammu and Himachal Pradesh.
It is important to say here that there were no facilities to reach Bhal Padri due to a lack of proper road infrastructure. But now, the J&K Government has made it accessible by developing a road, opening the doors for tourists. They have also constructed rooms and restaurants at Padri for the night stay of the tourists and visitors and it is really is a hidden gem in Jammu Province which in future will witness a huge surge in tourism potential from all over the country and abroad.
How To Reach Bhal Padri?
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has made a 10 km stretch from Padri to Bhel Padri. The maximum of the work has been done, and only the blacktopping (final road surfacing) is pending, which will be done after August 15, once the monsoon season ends. In addition, the Government is also constructing another 7 km road, which will connect Bhel Padri to Gandoh.
