The Bhal Padri district Doda  is known for its alpine peaks, peaceful trails &  It is also called as the Mini Kashmir which  is  located in Doda District in Jammu Province in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It is important to say here that there were no facilities to reach Bhal Padri due to a lack of proper road infrastructure. But now, the J&K Government has made it accessible by developing a road, opening the doors for tourists. They have also constructed rooms and restaurants at Padri for the night stay of the tourists and visitors and it is really  is a hidden gem in Jammu Province which in future will witness a huge surge in tourism potential  from all over the country and abroad.

How To Reach Bhal Padri?

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir  has made a 10 km stretch from Padri to Bhel Padri. The maximum of the work has been done, and only the blacktopping (final road surfacing) is pending, which will be done after August 15, once the monsoon season ends. In addition, the Government is also constructing another 7 km road, which will connect Bhel Padri to Gandoh.

In futre due development of adequate tourism infrastructure, tourists and travelers will specially visit this area to witness magical snow fall.

By Road : 

The most common route is via NH244, which connects Jammu to Doda. The road is mostly well-maintained, but some stretches may be rough or under construction. Tourists can hire a taxi or cab is a convenient option, offering flexibility and door-to-door service. Public transport like buses and shared taxis are available from Jammu to Doda, but may not be as frequent or direct. The scenic route passes through the beautiful landscapes of Jammu and Kashmir, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
