Bal Padri an amazing Tourist site is located northeast of Padri Pass and is registered as the Highest point on the Bhaderwah- Chamba Road Bal Padri is an adventure and paradise in itself for nature lovers but it is waiting for its exploration and proper development with adequate Tourism infrastructure that will allure the visitors from far off places here to enjoy its virgin and unique beauty.
Bhal Padri is no less than a paradise on Earth. This marvelous hill station is a group of small valleys that are covered with dense forests situated in the block Changa, Bhalessa area of Doda District. It touches and borders Padri Pass, Bhaderwah which is located at a distance of 4 kilometers northeast. many rivulets and streams flow through this valley.
Bal Padri receives heavy snowfall during winters with the depth going up to 4 meters, The big landscape of Padri makes it a cherished picnic spot and a delightful health resort. During the summer season, the place is quite mesmerizing with pleasant weather conditions, and a heavy rush of nature lovers, picnickers, and trekkers is witnessed during this season.
This Hill Station is situated at a distance of about 66 kilometers from the District Headquarters Doda and this place is the connecting link between Bhalessa and Bhaderwah. It is considered the remotest destination because it is not connected directly by major roads but nearby roads along with Bhaderwah Chamba Road and Gandoh Khilotran Roads make this paradise destination accessible. The destination has the major population of the Gujjar community who reside here in mud houses.
