Bahu Fort is an iconic tourist place located in Jammu. Bahu Fort is situated along the banks of the Tawi River. It has a height of over 325 meters. Manda Zoo, also known as Manda Deer Park, is located in the city of Jammu in the Indian UT Jammu and Kashmir. It is spread over an area of approximately 13.75 acres and is situated in the beautiful surroundings of the Manda Mountain Range.
One unique feature of Manda Zoo is that it is primarily a deer park, with a wide variety of deer species living in natural habitats within the park. This Historic and famous temple was built by Maharaja Gulab Singh and his son Maharaja Ranbir Singh between 1853 and 1860. The temple has Gods enshrined but the Presiding deity is Lord Ram, an Avtar(incarnation) of Lord Vishnu. The Temple bears lofty Shikhars where every Shrine has its own Shikar. On every entry point there is a portrait of Maharaja Ranbir Singh Ji and an image of Lord Hanuman exaggerates the site. The central Shrine is fully dedicated to Lord Ram/Raghunath. There is a library in the temple complex where you find rare Sanskrit books and manuscripts easily available. 4. Peer Baba Shrine, Satwari :
The dargah of Peer Baba Budhan Ali Shah commonly known as Peer Baba is a holy shrine located on the outskirts of Jammu city at a distance of 8 kilometers towards the aerodrome in Satwari, Jammu, is a popular Sufi shrine highly revered and visited by people of all faiths in large numbers to seek blessings of the saint who fulfills their wishes.
The shrine attracts devotees from different religions and is particularly popular among Hindus and Sikhs. It is believed that Baba Shadi Shaheed has the power to grant wishes and provide protection to his devotees. The shrine is also known for its annual Urs (death anniversary) festival, which is held in the month of Rajab (the seventh month of the Islamic calendar) and attracts thousands of devotees.
Interestingly, the shrine is also known for its unique tradition of tying threads to the trees surrounding the shrine. Devotees believe that tying a thread to a tree and making a wish will increase the likelihood of their wish being granted. This practice is said to have originated from the Hindu tradition of tying threads to trees as a form of prayer.
