Tulip Garden also known as the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden which is the largest tulip garden in Asia and is spread over an area of about 30 ha (74 acres). Tulip Garden is nested at the foothils of the Zabarwan Range with an overview of worls fomous Dal Lake. It is built on a sloping ground in a terraced fashion consisting of seven terraces with an overview of the Dal Lake. This amazing Tulip Garden consists of 46 Varities of flowers that includes Hyacinths, Daffodils & Ranunculus bought from Holland. 

Tulip Garden was established in 2007 with the sole aim to promote tourism and floriculture industry in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. This largest garden in Asia draws tourists from all over the globe in lacs including India every year to show case its unique beauty with infinite flower colorations. Apart from Tulips, many flower species are grown here such as Daffodils, Ranunculus.

Asia's largest Tulip Garden in Kashmir to open for People on 26th March 2025

It is important to mention here that the preparations are in full swing for opening of Tulip Garden in Srinagar, Kashmir in India. It is the Asai's largest Tulip Garden and this  will specially open to visitors later this month most probably on 26th  of March 2025 when the tulip bulbs start to bloom fully. The Officer & Officials of the concerned Department are very busy in giving this  tulip Garden it's final touch. This  tulip Garden will open for public and tourists on 26th of March 2025 and the inauguration will be made by Shri Omar Abdullah Chief Minister union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Tulip Festival  preparations  : 

Tulip Garden opens for visitors from late March to the mid April every year when this floral paradise opens its doors and transforms the entire valley of Kashmir into a mesmrizing rainbow dreamscape. Preparations for Convening historical Tulip festival are in full swing which is expected to be bigger and more spectacular than ever this year in 2025. This festival is a peaceful retreat for nature lovers, photography enthusiasts etc.

Tulip festival is celebrated here with great pomp and show every year to show case the range of flowers in the Garden as part of Tourism. This festival is held during the start of spring season in Kashmir valley and the preparation for the same are already  also in full swing keeping in view the huge rush of tourists and travelers from India and abroad as we are expecting thousand of tourists this year from around the world who flock here to see this largest Tulip Garden of Asia.

Best time to visit Tulip Garden   

The spring in Kashmir generally commences in the third week of March and that is why Tulip festival is being held in the month of April every year. There are forty six varities of flowers apart from Tulip in this garden which remain main focus of the visitors.

The  average temperature of Kashmir valley during the month April remains 10 to 20 degrees Celsius and in the night time it gets lower and remains around 5 to 10 degree Celsius. There is no snowfall in the month of April and the entire valley of Kashmir experiences a pleasant and moderate climate.
