Ooty is a world-famous and popular Hill Station situated in the Southern State of Tamil Nadu in india.  Ooty Hill Station also Called as Queen of Hill Stations in India, is located in the famous Nilgri Hills in the State of Tamil Nadu India. It is considered to be the Queen of Hill Stations in India because it is one of the most visited tourist destinations in India throughout the year that offers tremendous natural beauty, rich heritage, and a pleasant climate to tourists and travelers.

Ooty Hill Station is well connected with all the major cities of India through Coimbatore and Chennai. Ooty is about 90 kilometers distance from Coimbatore airport and is connected to important cities of the country like Madurai, Kolkata, Chennai, etc. It is easily accessible due to its strategic location near the important cities of Coimbatore.

It is also connected to other important places in India through a good network of roads and is about 178 kilometers away from Kolkata as well as 160 kilometers from Mysore.

This whole splendid Lake was earlier used for fishing purposes only but the Department of Tourism Development Corporation of Tamil Nadu took control in 1973 on behalf of the Tourism Department for its overall development and beautification and introduced boating facilities etc The Lake is presently extremely beautiful and other main attractions of Ooty Lake are amusement parks and Mini trains.

Ooty Botanical Gardens a famous Garden in Ooty is a stretched green land that bears thousands of marvelous and indigenous flora that make it a perfect place to visit especially for lovers of nature. The visitors are fascinated by the extraordinary collection of ferns, trees, Shrubs, etc. This Ooty Botanical Garden is well organized into six areas for good maintenance including the Lower Garden, New Garden, Nurseries, Italian Garden, conservatory Garden, and Fountain Terrace.

The History of Botanical Gardens Ooty dates back to 1879 when the Marquis of Tweedale laid the foundation of this unique Garden over here over an area of 55 acres of land with lush green, well-maintained Lawns, rare trees like the corn-only norm

 The Garden is on an Italian style bordering a clear pool,  with a huge variety of flowering bushes and plants, a big range of ferns and orchids, and vast flowers with different colorations an exhibition of rare plant species is organized every year here during May at this botanical garden. It is a wonderful garden that has become the main attraction of domestic and global tourists besides above mentioned top places.

Ooty  weather  : 

Ooty one of the most favorite and popular hill stations of India has an average temperature during the summer season that ranges between 15°C to 30°C. The ideal the to visit Ooty is from March to June. The days in Ooty are warm but the weather in the time of evening is really pleasant. 

The winter in Ooty starts from October to February and during these months the temperature is quite low and there is a blanket of fog all around. The days are sunny and evening chilly with misty mountains.
