Today I am going to tell my esteemed readers about one such famous location that has historical relevance and has been popularly visited by kings in the past and normal people. The place is known as the crown of Pir Panchal also called Pir Ki Gali", is an attractive beautiful, and amazing natural tourist place located at an altitude of 1140 ft above sea level in the Pir Panjal Range Jammu and Kashmir, India which connects the Kashmir Valley to the Rajouri and Poonch Districts via Mughal Road. This natural tourist location is on the boundary of District Poonch in Jammu Province and District Shopian in Kashmir Province. A huge rush of tourists and Travelers is witnessed here throughout the year and it has become one of the favorite places for picnickers and adventure lovers.
Therefore it is quite accessible from District Shopian as well as via the famous historical Mughal Road on Poonch Side which is an alternative road to Kashmir valley that reduces the distance for the people of both the Districts Poonch and Rajouri

The name " Peer Ki Gali" has some auspicious relevance and as per word Peer means a person who is devoted to religion as per the Muslim faith. This place is situated between two villages namely Poshana and Heer Pur, along the famous Mughal Road. The history of places goes back to the time of a holy and religiously elevated person named Alamdaar-e-Kashmir, Sheikh Noor-u-din Noorani RA) (1378 to 1441). This place got its name because of a saint Sheikh Ahmed Karim. Barnier Francious the man who visited this place along with the CCaravanof Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1665, wrote in his book that this saint was living here from the time of Mughal king Jehangir and this saint could perform miracles and could bring storms along with hail stone and snow. He was an old white-born man and asked people not to create noise in this calm place of God to move silently, and also demanded offerings from them even Mughal King Aurangzeb and Shahjahan were wise enough they used to cross this calm place of God very calmly unlike Jehangir who faced doomed outcomes.
The people still consider Sheikh Ahmed Karim as a saint of high value not only in ancient times but also even in the present times, the saint has been called for help whenever people are caught in heavy Storms or any trouble and it is believed that he always comes to help the needy. There is also a holy shrine of this saint where a large number of people from all faiths visit frequently and pay obedience the year.

Pir ki Gali is a famous tourist spot in Jammu and Kashmir and is situated at an altitude of 1140 ft from the sea level. The weather here in summer is quite cool and pleasant and well breezing winds blowing here make one feel in heaven. The average temperature here remains below 30 degrees Celsius and heavy cool winds blow here often making it a mesmerizing place to visit.
During the winter season, the whole area receives heavy snowfall and the Mughal Road leading to it gets often blocked due to heavy snowfall. As a result, people visit here in fewer numbers during the winter season.
