Safety: Pickpocketing is main risk in Paris, Rome, Barcelona. Wear crossbody bag in front. Metro stations are hotspots. Night trains are safe but lock valuables.

Part 3: Customize It.

14-Day Version: Cut Milan + Vienna. London 2 → Paris 2 → Swiss 1 → Venice 1 → Florence 1 → Rome 3 → Prague 2. Fly Paris to Rome.

30-Day Add-ons: Add Berlin 3 days after Prague. Add Cinque Terre between Florence-Rome. Add Iceland stopover on way home.

Family Version: Skip night trains, add more days per city. Kids love London museums, Paris parks, Swiss cable cars.

Winter Version: Dec-Jan. Swap Swiss Alps for ski in Zermatt. Christmas markets in Vienna, Budapest, Prague are magical. Days shorter but crowds gone.

Final thought :

You won’t “finish” Europe in 21 days and that is the point as this  itinerary gives you structure without rigidity. Spend extra time in a café and Skip a museum if the weather is perfect and talk to a local.

Europe’s real magic isn’t in the landmarks. It’s in the moment you realize 2 hours over coffee in Paris taught you more than 5 museums. Or when a random train delay forces you to see a Swiss village you’d never planned.

Train tickets will change. Weather will flip. Some places will disappoint, others will surprise you. Let it. Travel here is about learning to be comfortable with uncertainty, and finding beauty in the unplanned.

Start booking 3 months out for best prices. But leave 20% of your days empty. That’s where the stories happen.
